Sundays are one of the important ways we are able to connect together as a church family.
Our in person services take place every ​Sunday at 10:30am (Kids Church & Youth also provided) and once a month at 6:30pm. Check out our service information below to find out more. ​

We are very pleased to be able to offer live translation during the service for our Brazilian church members. On arrival, just pick up a translation pack and headphones.
St George's has a free car park attached to the building for Sundays only (St George's Church, Cherry Orchard, ST5 2UB). The church building is accessible to pushchair and wheelchair users. We have a hearing loop and also a wheelchair accessible toilet and baby changing facilities.

St George's really values every generation and our 10:30am service has all ages in attendance. During the 10:30am service, Jesus is at the centre as we enjoy contemporary worship, prayer and hearing from the word of God (Bible). Whether you've lived in Newcastle all your life or are new to the area, we'd love to welcome you on a Sunday morning. Everyone is invited for refreshments at the end of the service and it's a wonderful way for people to meet new friends and get connected into community.
For our younger age groups we are pleased to offer further ways to engage on a Sunday. For parents of newborns/ toddlers we have a wonderful creche room with a live link to the service so if little ones need feeding or changing parents don't miss out. Kids church is provided for 1-10 year olds (with three different groups) and Youth for Year 7 and up. We also love to welcome any Student & Young Adults (18-25's) who have arrived for University or are local to the area.
The 10:30am service is also where we hold our baptism services & baby thanksgivings.

Encounter

​2nd Sunday of each month: 6:30pm
​
​Encounter is our informal service of prayer, praise and worship. Held once a month at the back of the church, it is a chance for people to receive prayer, worship God and engage with more of the Holy Spirit.
